3. How long we keep your data

Please refer to each cookie description for their specific retention periods. For analytics purposes the data that is not aggregated or anonymized right away will be processed for not more than 2 years.

Furthermore, in certain instances local storage is used. Since the data placed there does not expire and will be available any time you open our website, the only way to clear local storage is for you to clear the browser storage manually (also known as clearing caches).

4. Who we share your personal data with

Your personal data will be disclosed to and processed by our affiliates and business partners for the above purposes and as described in the cookies’ description. We also share your personal data with processors, especially IT service providers, which are limited by contract in their ability to use your personal data for any purpose other than to provide services for us in compliance with each data processing agreement in place. Your personal data may be transferred to a country outside the European Economic Area. If so, such transfer will be based on the standard contractual clauses approved by the EU Commission and ensuring that the relevant country is subject to an adequacy decision by the European Commission. The general text of the standard contractual clauses used can be found in various languages on the homepage of the EU Commission.

5. Your rights in relation to the data processing we perform

Because we respect your right to privacy, you can choose not to allow cookies which are not strictly necessary to make our website work.

Because it’s your personal data, the law gives you certain data rights allowing you to have insight and exercise control over our use of your personal data. The applicability and extent of these rights vary depending on the specific processing situation, but always gives you the right to information about how your personal data is being used. If you want to exercise any of these rights, contact us using the contact information at the end of this notice. Read below for descriptions of the rights you have.

  • Withdraw your consent – at any time, you have the right to withdraw any given consents to our use of your personal data

  • Object to our processing of your data – You have the right to object to our use of your personal data when our ground for using it is our “legitimate interest” or when we use it for marketing purposes. In some cases, we can continue to use your personal data even if you have objected to our processing. This can be the case if we can show compelling legitimate reasons for the continued use that outweigh your interests, or if it is for the purpose of establishing, exercising or defending ourselves against legal claims.

  • Right to ask for a copy of the data we hold about you (so-called subject access right)

  • Right for the data to be transferred to another entity, where technically feasible (so-called data portability)

  • Ask for the data to be corrected or restricted

  • Ask for the data to be deleted (so-called right to be forgotten) - In some cases, you have a right to request that we delete your personal data. This is the case for example where the personal data is no longer necessary given the purposes it was collected for, or if you withdraw a consent you have given, and we don’t have any other legal reason to keep the personal data.

  • Right to lodge a complaint to a supervisory authority – You always have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. You may do this in the EU/EEA member state where you live. For NOVO Energy AB, the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (Swedish: Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, “IMY”) is our primary supervisory authority. But you also have the right to contact your national supervisory authority directly. You also have the right to seek a remedy from a national court.
